Apprentice Business Administration

Ref: 001601

Contract: Fixed Term 24 months

Salary: £19,116 - £23,340 per annum (dependent on age)

Hours: 36.66 per week

Location: Oldham Council, Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre, The Cultural Quarter, Greaves Street, Oldham OL1 1AL)

Role Overview:

We are looking to recruit a committed, highly motivated individual to join the Lifelong Learning service on a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide an excellent level of customer service and exchange a wide variety of information with a range of audiences.
Provide support to the reception and Curriculum teams.
Data entry including checking documents for completeness and accuracy; attention to detail and an ability to work to required standards with little close supervision is essential.
Undertake key financial tasks including ordering goods and services, processing payments and balancing and reconciling monies.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

Sufficient literacy and numeracy to meet the requirements of the role
Experience of using Microsoft Office software; including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively by email, face to face, and over the telephone
Ability to plan own work (with Supervisor) and prioritise to meet deadlines
A professional approach to their work and the ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of the staff team and learners
The ability to work on a full time /full year basis for the 24-month term of the Apprenticeship
