As part of the team, a FUNDA sports/Coach is responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery teaching the "FUNDA WAY’.

You will teach in our partnering schools during school term time and then make a positive difference to children's lives during school holiday time.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and reliable Children’s Activity Coach to deliver high-quality physical education, enrichment activities and childcare provision for children aged 4–12 years. This flexible role will include PE delivery in schools, wraparound childcare, enrichment days and participation in our multi-award-winning, OFSTED-registered holiday camps.

The successful candidate will share our core values for home, school and life, and be committed to delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that support children’s physical, social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities PE & School Provision

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Physical Education (PE) lessons in primary schools
Support team teaching alongside school staff
Deliver sessions during PPA cover time
Adapt sessions to meet the needs of different abilities and age groups

Wraparound Childcare & Enrichment

Lead before-school, lunchtime and after-school clubs
Deliver creative and active enrichment days within school settings
Ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all children

Holiday Camps & Childcare

Deliver multi-activity sessions during school holiday camps
Support the day-to-day running of holiday childcare provision
Engage children through a wide range of sports, games and creative activities

Professional Responsibilities

Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management and professionalism
Communicate effectively with children, parents, schools and colleagues
Set up, manage and pack away equipment safely
Learn from feedback and contribute positively to team development

Essential Requirements

Experience working with children aged 4–12 in an education, childcare or sports coaching setting
NGB Sports Coaching qualification (or equivalent) in at least two sports
Valid First Aid qualification
Valid Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one
Valid Child Protection and Safeguarding certificate

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

Studying towards or holding a degree in Physical Education, Sport, Health & Fitness, Education, Teaching or Childcare
Experience delivering PE, coaching or enrichment in school settings
Strong leadership and organisational skills
