National Account Manager – Chemical Raw Materials (B2B)

Company: Ascot International

Location: Stockport (UK) – with UK & EU travel

Salary: Competitive + Bonus (OTE)

Contract Type: Full-time

About Us

Ascot International is a growing, entrepreneurial business specialising in the supply of

chemical raw materials across a range of industries. We pride ourselves on building

long-term partnerships, delivering reliable supply solutions, and providing exceptional

customer service.

The Role

We are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and

grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and

Europe.

This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development,

suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to

customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts

Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets

Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements

Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK &

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements

Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure

smooth delivery

Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting – SAGE 200

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

5–7 years’ experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials)

Skills & Attributes:

Strong account management and relationship-building skills

Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach

Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth

Experience managing and mentoring team members

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Certifications (Desirable):

Industry knowledge or training in REACH, ISO, or similar

Working Conditions

9-hour working day (including 1-hour lunch break)

Based at the Stockport Head Office

Reporting to the Managing Director (MD) and Senior Business Development

Manager (BDM)

Regular travel across the UK & Europe (customers, exhibitions)

Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres

Full UK driving licence preferred
