The Inspire Youth Arts (IYA) team deliver a range of inclusive music, dance and digital projects for 11-25 year olds. Based at The Old Library in Mansfield, but working across Nottinghamshire, we engage over 1500 young people each year. Our programme is an exciting mix of:

We are seeking a Creative Producer to support our delivery of arts and cultural opportunities for young people. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team of producers, developing our offer for young people and ensuring access to high-quality experiences. The postholder will be required to work dynamically with a range of partners, artists, stakeholders and funders. While working across several arts forms, we are seeking candidates with specialisms in music and/or dance and/or digital arts.
We are looking for individuals with experience in the cultural or creative sectors, who have a strong understanding of events programming and management. A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork, and excellent project management and communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
Working 22.2 hours per week including some weekend and evening working, the post holders will be based at The Old Library in Mansfield, with home working supported. Working days and patterns can be negotiated, except for Tuesdays, which must be in-person at The Old Library. The ability to travel across the county by your own means is essential.

Job Title: Creative Producer
Hay Band A
Job Purpose
To develop, manage, deliver and promote a full range of inclusive arts and cultural opportunities for children and young people ensuring access to a high quality cultural experience.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver the Inspire Youth Arts offer as required by the Youth Arts Manager ensuring access to high quality cultural experiences.
- To lead service delivery and to develop and manage projects throughout the county as required to deliver best practice and innovative services.
- To be responsible for planning and co-ordinating the deployment of people and resources to service needs.
- To support and deliver the Inspire Youth Arts Service Plan to meet agreed performance targets.
- To ensure that the Inspire Youth Arts programme is delivered professionally, working positively with staff, artists and partners, reporting as required and promoting the work of Inspire Youth Arts to existing, new and potential customers.
- To train, induct, and support freelance artists, staff, volunteers and participants to perform their job or role where appropriate.
- To work flexibly across Nottinghamshire under the direction of the Principal Arts Officer and Youth Arts Manager to meet business needs and customer demand.
- To ensure young people are safeguarded in all youth arts settings and projects and ensure safeguarding policy and procedures are followed.
- The post holder will work in accordance with all Inspire policies and procedures, Inspire Brand guidelines,
contractual requirements, and professional best practice.
- The post holder will perform any duties or tasks assigned by management required to meet service needs as appropriate to the role.
Education and Knowledge Required for the role
- A nationally recognised arts qualification and / or relevant industry experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of participatory arts sector locally, regionally and nationally.
- Knowledge of music or dance or digital art
Skills and Experience
- Experience of customer focused service delivery within the arts sector.
- Experience of planning and delivering projects, events and activities within relevant sectors.
- Excellent organisational skills, delivering projects to time, budget and quality standards.
- Experience of organising your own work and that of others.
