Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Forklift Instructor to deliver comprehensive training programmes for aspiring forklift operators. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a solid understanding of forklift operations. This role involves instructing trainees in safe handling, operational techniques, and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. The position offers an excellent opportunity to share expertise and contribute to workforce development within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Deliver practical and theoretical forklift training sessions to individuals and groups, ensuring understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures
Assess trainees’ skills through practical tests and theoretical assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and assessment outcomes in compliance with company policies
Ensure all training activities adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness
Keep up-to-date with industry standards, safety legislation, and best practices related to forklift operation
Collaborate with management to schedule training sessions and coordinate resources effectively

Skills

Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience in teaching or instructing, preferably within a technical or vocational setting
Strong organisational skills to plan training schedules and manage trainee progress efficiently
Good IT skills for maintaining records, preparing training materials, and using relevant software applications
Ability to clearly convey complex information in an understandable manner
Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate trainees and foster a positive learning environment

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, education, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing competent forklift operators who prioritise safety whilst maintaining productivity.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
