Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and TIG Welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. This job requires weekend site work and overnight stays this is an important part of the role.

Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding
Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Experience working with sheet metal and structural steel components.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding processes.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and DWG interpretation.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with assembly processes and techniques related to metalwork projects. This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute their expertise in welding and fabrication to a professional team.
Driving licence is required for this role.

Pay: Up to £19.00 per hour
