Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sunday Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with the ability to oversee meal service on Sundays. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience and a passion for delivering high-quality hospitality. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining food safety standards, and leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff during Sunday service, providing leadership and guidance
Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
Ensure all food served meets presentation standards and customer expectations

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Experience in food production, restaurant service, or catering is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence
