Requirements:

Education: GCSE level or above in numeracy and literacy.
Technical Skills: IT literate, with a solid understanding of construction testing.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction UKAS testing and familiarity with 17025 accredited laboratory demands.
Driving: Must have a full UK driving license.
Record Keeping: Accurate and consistent record-keeping skills.

Working Hours:

Standard: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Flexibility: Longer days with travel, occasional stay aways and night shifts when necessary and optional weekend work.

Responsibilities:

Operations: Ensure timely and efficient of site tests.
Compliance: Produce test results in line with documented procedures, standards, and UKAS requirements.
Team Supervision: Train, motivate, and deploy staff through our buddying up program.
Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
Collaboration: Liaise with Operations Supervisors and Managers for smooth day-to-day operations.

Daily Duties:

Work safely following the Company Health & Safety Policy.
Complete allocated work as directed by supervisors.
Maintain team harmony and morale.
Control incoming and stored test specimens.
Assist in record maintenance related to the Management System.
Train subordinate staff as required.
Maintain clean and tidy work areas and equipment.

Main Tasks:

Ensure the work environment and equipment are always clean and tidy.
Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
Assume responsibilities of other Senior Technicians in their absence.
Test materials and maintain knowledge of sampling and test procedures.
