Part-Time Finance Assistant

Melksham, Wiltshire (In Person)

Competitive (pro-rata)

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexible part-time hours within a growing and supportive company.

Key Duties:

Assist with month-end closing processes and reconciliations
Process purchase invoices and supplier payments
Manage accounts receivable and chase outstanding payments
Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards
Assist with VAT returns and submissions
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Support the preparation of management accounts
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries

Requirements:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and VAT
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred)
