Full job description

Job Overview

We are a small manufacturing company on Porte Marsh Industrial Estate in Calne. We are looking for a part time administrator with admin and sage payroll experience to help us for between 8 and 16 hours a week.

The ideal person will have experience in Payroll and general administration, is confident in dealing with people, and good at managing your own time, completing tasks thoroughly, accurately and on time with good attention to detail.

Most of the time you would be working alone reporting to the owner/ MD, so you have a nice bit of freedom over your hours and what jobs you do when is up to you, as long as everything is done in good time and with impeccable accuracy. This is a lovely little stand alone job that affords you a good deal of freedom over your schedule , it would suit someone who is happy working alone, is a self starter who can be trusted to get the job done without being managed.

Hours are flexible and can work around you but would be between 8 and 16hrs a week worked between 8am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties

Oversee and process employee payroll using Sage Payroll.
Ensure accurate data entry related to employee information, attendance, and leave records.
Manage accounts payable functions, including sales and purchase invoice processing.
Maintain organised records of employee files and payroll data.
Assist with general administrative tasks including Health & Safety administration, booking courses for staff members, and booking service and maintenance appointments for vehicles and machinery on a set schedule.

Qualifications

Proven experience in office administration and payroll processing.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Sage payroll.
A self starter who can be trusted to work alone and get the job done within the timescales required.
Accounts experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Aptitude and attitude more important than experience.
Accuracy more important than speed.
