About us
The Fast 800 is on a mission to transform the way people think about their health. Built on world-class science and the legacy of the late Dr Michael Mosley, we've already helped over 250,000 people lose weight, improve their metabolic health and fundamentally change their lives through evidence-based nutrition and behaviour change.
We are a passionate, ambitious team split across the UK and Australia. We are now at a pivotal, exciting moment in our journey, with strong foundations, a deeply loyal global community, and big plans for growth. We need an experienced, commercially sharp Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function, own our revenue engine, and help us tell our story to the world.
You'll be accountable for the entire marketing function and have a real opportunity to shape the next chapter of one of the UK's most trusted health brands. If you're motivated by mission, energised by data, and want to build something that matters, this is a rare opportunity.
Role description
This is a senior, executive-level leadership position with end-to-end accountability for marketing and its commercial outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will set the marketing strategy, lead and develop the marketing team, and translate business goals into the day-to-day execution that drives global brand equity and ecommerce revenue.
The right person is commercially minded, relentlessly customer-focused, and brings the rare mix of analytical rigour and strong creative judgement. They lead from the front - setting clear direction, holding a high bar, and getting the best out of the people around them.
This role requires both strategic vision and the willingness to roll up your sleeves.
What you will own
The marketing strategy. You set the direction for the marketing function and own what it delivers. You translate business goals into a clear plan, make the calls on where we invest and where we don't, and stay accountable for the outcomes.
Revenue and commercial performance. The full marketing funnel and marketing-attributed revenue across UK and Australia. You set targets, track performance, and take accountability for outcomes. You think in margin as well as top-line, and every initiative has a clear commercial rationale.
The "Programme vs. Product" Strategy. Determine the strategic promotional rhythms and growth mix between our core digital health programmes and physical eCommerce offerings.
Brand Stewardship of The Fast 800 - a brand with deep heritage. You bring strong creative judgement and the ability to translate brand strategy into consistent, compelling work across every customer touchpoint.
The customer. You own the business's understanding of who we serve. That means building and maintaining genuine insight into who our customer is, what motivates them, what they value, and how they behave and making sure that understanding shapes everything the marketing function produces.
Customer acquisition and retention. You lead initiatives to improve acquisition economics and retention, drawing on data, customer insight and continuous experimentation.
Ecommerce growth. Conversion, product pages, lifecycle email, the levers that move ecommerce revenue. You partner closely with product and tech to drive measurable improvement.
The team. You build, develop and retain strong marketing talent. You create a culture of accountability and experimentation, and develop people to be better than they were when you found them.
Data, agencies and NPD. GA4-competent and confident with attribution. You hold agencies to clear commercial outcomes. You partner with the product team to shape NPD grounded in customer insight and brand fit.
Requirements and experience
Experience: Essential
- 7+ years marketing experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior leadership capacity

- Track record of managing other managers
- Experience building or scaling a B2C marketing function
- Deep understanding of digital channels: paid, organic, SEO, content, social, email
- Ecommerce experience - operating or closely supporting an ecommerce business
- Budget accountability and comfortable with GA4 reporting
Experience: Nice to have
- Consumer health, wellness or nutrition sector

Attributes that matter most
- Ownership. You treat the business as your own. You take accountability for outcomes, make decisions, and follow through.
- Commercial judgement. You think in terms of impact on the bottom line, not just marketing metrics. You back initiatives you can justify financially.
- Strategic thinking. You set direction as well as execute. You can see the bigger picture, prioritise ruthlessly, and articulate a clear point of view on where the business needs to go and why.
- Analytical rigour. You use data to make decisions, not to confirm them, and you build a team that operates the same way.
- Customer focus. You are genuinely curious about who we serve and why, and you bring that perspective to every decision.
- Creative judgement. You know good work from average work. You can brief, critique and guide creative without doing it yourself.
- Market awareness. You stay close to what's happening in the market - competitor activity, category trends, new channels, emerging tools. You bring fresh thinking into the business not relying on what's worked before.
- Leadership. You build, develop and retain strong people. You set high standards and create the environment for others to deliver
