Full job description

Join the friendly team at Allied Pharmacy in Rhiwbina as a Pharmacy Assistant, where you'll play a key role in delivering excellent care and service to our local community. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a welcoming pharmacy environment, supporting patients and helping the pharmacy run smoothly day to day.

Key responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional service at the counter
Assist with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of the pharmacist
Handle over-the-counter medicine sales, offering advice within your training and referring queries to the pharmacist when needed
Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries, checking expiry dates and rotating shelves
Maintain a clean, tidy and organised pharmacy environment
Support prescription collection, delivery arrangements and general administrative tasks
Handle sensitive information with discretion and in line with confidentiality standards

What we're looking for:

A friendly, approachable manner and a genuine interest in helping people
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with the public
Good attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling medicines
The ability to work well as part of a small, supportive team
A willingness to learn and, where required, complete relevant pharmacy training (such as an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services)
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail or customer service role is welcome but not essential
