Full job description

Paull & Co Ltd is local family run business based in Martock, established in 1862. The Company trades as Paulls of Martock, an independent builders merchant, home-wares and garden supplies shop, together with a property portfolio and development arm which includes Martock Workspace.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant/Trainee to join our small but friendly team.

The successful applicant should hold an AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent and have some experience/knowledge of working within an accounts department. Strong computer skills including MS office, and accounting software will be required. Together with attention to detail and accuracy. The right candidate will have good communication skills and a positive manor.

The role requires a minimum of 20 hrs a week, based in our offices in Martock, with some working from home flexibility.

The responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

Bank Reconciliation

Purchase & Sales Ledger

Credit Control

VAT & CIS Returns

Assisting month end

Assisting with year-end preparation

Other office administration

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £26,520 per annum equivalent
