At La Petite Maison (LPM), we celebrate the vibrant flavours and relaxed elegance of the French Riviera. Renowned for our exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality, and attention to detail, we are looking for a passionate Commis Pastry Chef to join our talented pastry team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to develop their pastry skills in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant while learning from experienced chefs who are committed to excellence.

About the Role

As a Commis Pastry Chef, you will support the pastry team in delivering beautifully crafted desserts and baked goods that reflect the high standards of La Petite Maison. You will work closely with senior chefs to prepare, plate, and present dishes with consistency, creativity, and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare pastry ingredients, desserts, and baked items according to recipes and specifications.
Assist with the daily mise en place and service preparation.
Ensure desserts are presented to the highest standard.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation in line with food safety regulations.
Follow all health, safety, and HACCP procedures.
Support stock rotation, storage, and inventory management.
Work collaboratively with the pastry and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new techniques and continuously develop your skills.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a pastry kitchen is preferred, although ambitious culinary graduates are encouraged to apply.
A genuine passion for pastry and high-quality ingredients.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy service environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A recognised culinary qualification is advantageous.
