Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, ensuring patrons enjoy a memorable experience. Previous experience in food and beverage service, along with strong organisational skills, will be highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness standards, and engaging with guests in a professional manner.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options, in accordance with company standards.
Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently while providing knowledgeable recommendations when needed.
Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment and intervene when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of bar operation.

Experience

Previous experience working in a hospitality setting, particularly within a restaurant or bar environment, is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to the food and beverage industry.
Strong serving skills combined with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple orders efficiently.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Proven ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
Experience with restaurant POS systems is advantageous but not essential.
A personable attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
