Qualifications Required
- Level 2 Food Safety in Catering (If you do not have this qualification, we are happy for it to be obtained once working within the role, the cost is £24, which can be deducted from the first month’s salary)
- Allergy Awareness Certificate
- Driving License
Main Job responsibilities
- Preparing food and drinks, serving on the till and coffee machine.
- To observe and work strictly to all hygiene and health and safety regulations, filling in any relevant paperwork required.
- Handling customer enquiries and passing any complaints on to the Supervisor/Manager
- Greeting and advising customers
- To clean to a high standard the kitchen area, counter and café area following strict guidelines.
- To be responsible for preparing and presenting food required for daily buffets/lunch requests/parties and shop counter.
- To unpack food deliveries as soon as they arrive, making sure frozen and chilled items take priority.
- To complete food orders within the appropriate timescales for deliveries / lunch orders.
- To pack buffet boxes ensuring ice is used to cool food.
- To be able to load and unload buffet boxes to and from the van.
- To unpack any deliveries and to keep the inside/outside of the van clean.
- To drive safely at all times, adhering to the Highway code.
- To drive carefully and directly to destinations making sure that buffets reach companies in good time and are presented as they left the kitchen.
- To be polite and friendly when dealing with customers.
- To report any faults/accidents with the van immediately to the Manager.
- To be responsible for keeping the inside of the van clean and reporting any maintenance that needs carrying out directly to the Manager.
