Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency to ensure durable and weatherproof roofing solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while developing specialised roofing skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Install new roofs using various materials such as tiles, slates, asphalt shingles, or metal sheets
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to extend the lifespan of existing roofs
Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues and determine appropriate repair strategies
Measure and cut roofing materials accurately to fit specific project requirements
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations
Use specialised tools and equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks
Collaborate with team members and clients to coordinate project timelines and specifications
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, disposing of waste materials responsibly

Requirements

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry
Knowledge of different roofing materials, techniques, and safety procedures
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans accurately
Physical fitness with the ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential; willingness to travel between sites is necessary
Strong commitment to health & safety standards and quality workmanship
