About Us

The New Wolds Chippy is a traditional fish and chip shop in West Bridgford, committed to serving exceptional quality food alongside outstanding customer service. We are looking for an experienced fryer to join our team during our busiest trading periods.

The Role

This is a hands-on role for an experienced fish fryer who can confidently manage a busy service while maintaining consistently high food quality.

Working alongside our existing team, you will take responsibility for producing perfectly cooked fish, chips and other menu items, ensuring every order meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Fry fish, chips and other menu items to company standards.
Manage the frying range efficiently throughout service.
Monitor food quality, cooking times and portion control.
Ensure excellent food presentation and consistency.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Assist with stock rotation and preparation.
Work efficiently during busy trading periods.
Support other kitchen staff where required.

Hours:

Thursday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Potential Tuesday: 5:00pm – 10:00pm

Essential Requirements

Previous fish frying experience is essential.
Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual.
Strong work ethic.
Team player with a positive attitude.

Desirable

Experience in a high-volume takeaway.
