Full job description

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Planned Maintenance Technician to join the Legrand Care Service team.

This position is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career, or looking to move into a technical role, with a genuine interest in electronics, connected devices, and smart technologies.

Role Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on connected care equipment and systems
Perform basic troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, following structured procedures
Complete maintenance tasks in line with schedules and company standards
Accurately record maintenance activities and report any issues identified
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and service quality
Work collaboratively with internal teams and provide a professional service to customers

Role Requirements

Essential

Strong interest in technical systems, electronics, or connected devices
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Well-organised with the ability to follow processes and schedules
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Basic digital literacy (ability to use apps, reporting tools, etc.)
Full valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
Flexible approach to working hours

Desirable (but not required)

Any initial experience in a technical, maintenance, or support role
Basic understanding of electrical or electronic systems
Apprenticeship, technical training, or similar (not essential)
