From our site at Bacton Business Park, Stowmarket, we combine industry experience with a practical, customer-first approach. Supported by in-house expertise and our own delivery capability, we help organisations and individuals create space quickly, safely and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Website – To manage, update and improve the Portable Space website for your specific product ranges. Work closely with other members of the marketing team and external agencies to grow the quantity and quality of website visits helping develop high quality leads for our sales team to convert.
- Social Media – Plan, publish and manage effective social media campaigns across multiple platforms to grow awareness and interest in your specific product ranges. Ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and frequent and is aligned with the overall marketing strategy and campaigns.
- Content – Produce a consistent roll-out of new content including dynamic (photography, video, reels etc) as well as written materials such as blogs, case studies, customer reviews and other relevant articles and literature. Work with third parties where relevant to develop and launch.
- Email Campaigns – Develop email marketing campaigns using HubSpot. Ensure messaging is relevant to targeted audience profiles and personas. Introduce automated campaigns to ensure ‘year long’ relevant messaging is constantly fed to customers and prospects in line with their buying journey.
- Digital Ads & SEO – Work with the marketing team and external digital agencies to manage the Portable Space digital advertising and SEO activities for your product ranges providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and to maximise ROI.
- Events & Community – Support the marketing and wider Portable Space team in the delivery of events, exhibitions, sponsorships and community engagement programmes.
- Internal Communications & Recruitment – Help develop any internal communication messaging for company events, recruitments and announcements.
- Tenders & Frameworks – Where required, support the sales and business development teams provide engaging and informative submissions and presentations for large customer and project opportunities.
General Responsibilities

Essential Skills and experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a marketing role working within a marketing team.
- Demonstrable experience of managing and updating websites plus developing new content and leading inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Plan, organise and manage your own time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved to deadline to the highest quality and optimum efficiency for the business.
- Creative and visual mindset helping develop new content and bring this to life via outbound marketing channels.
- Good working knowledge of outbound marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot, Dynamics, Salesforce or similar).
- Managing social media platforms and posts.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Skills and experience
- An official marketing qualification.
- Knowledge and experience in working in product and e-commerce environments.
- Experience in using working with external agencies and partners (SEO, paid digital advertising channels, website and design) to grow marketing funnel metrics and sales opportunities.
What success looks like
- Develop impactful, engaging and high value marketing activity to increase the brand awareness and leads, quote and sales opportunities for Portable Space.
- Roll out effective and measurable outbound and inbound marketing campaigns via social media, digital advertising, SEO, email marketing and website channels.
- Grow the marketing funnel via increases in online visibility, visits, key events and conversions to help grow the sales funnel for enquiries, quotes and orders.
- Publish a regular flow of content to support all marketing channels.
- Use automation tools from HubSpot to make sure regular outbound campaigns can support nurture and conversion opportunities.
