The Role
As PPC Lead you will be responsible for planning, managing, optimising, and reporting on paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant B2B advertising channels.
This is a senior hands-on role. You will be expected to set the standard for paid media delivery, improve campaign performance, contribute to client strategy, and support the development of other team members.
Please note all of our roles are based 5 days per week at our Chester City Centre offices.
Key responsibilities
- Own the paid media strategy for industrial manufacturing B2B clients globally, aligning campaigns with commercial objectives, pipeline generation, lead quality, and ROI.
- Plan, build, manage, and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other paid media platforms.
- Lead PPC audits, account restructures, keyword research, audience planning, competitor analysis, and budget recommendations.
- Manage campaign performance across search, display, remarketing, paid social, and lead generation activity.
- Work with internal teams to develop landing page recommendations, ad creative, messaging, content offers, and conversion journeys.
- Monitor and improve core metrics including CPC, CTR, conversion rate, CPA, ROAS, lead quality, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, and client retention.
- Produce clear, insight-led reports that explain performance, actions taken, results achieved, and recommended next steps.
- Present paid media strategy and performance updates to global clients with confidence and commercial awareness.
- Support new business team by contributing to audits, proposals, forecasts, and paid media recommendations.
- Maintain best practice across tracking, conversion setup, UTM governance, campaign structure, and data quality.
- Collaborate with SEO, content, creative, web, and account teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
- Stay up to date with changes across paid media platforms, automation, AI-driven campaign types, privacy changes, and B2B demand generation trends.
Experience
- Strong background in B2B environments, ideally within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or technical sectors
- Proven experience in a PPC, Paid Media Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, or PPC Lead role.
- Strong experience managing paid media campaigns in an agency environment, ideally for B2B clients.
- Hands-on expertise with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
- Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn Ads, particularly for B2B lead generation.
- Experience managing meaningful monthly media budgets and making budget recommendations based on performance.
- Strong understanding of conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, GA4, CRM attribution, and lead quality measurement.
- Ability to translate campaign data into clear commercial insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Confident client-facing communication skills, including presenting results and recommendations.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, campaigns, and priorities.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
