Full job description

Overview

Falcon Construction Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Compliance Officer to support health and safety compliance across our brickwork and façade projects throughout the UK.

The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, management, clients and principal contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with current legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.

Responsibilities

Carry out regular site inspections and health & safety audits.
Identify hazards and unsafe working practices, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and preventative measures.
Ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and company procedures.
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks where required.
Maintain health & safety records, inspection reports and training records.
Assist with pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and accreditation requirements.
Attend site meetings and liaise with clients and principal contractors on health & safety matters.
Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on compliance requirements.

Requirements Essential

NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
Experience within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel to sites.

Desirable

IOSH Managing Safely.
IOSH Membership (TechIOSH, CertIOSH or CMIOSH).
Experience within brickwork, masonry or façade construction.

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
