Customer Service & Operations Coordinator

Location: Mitcham (CR4) - Office-based with 4 days on-site after training, plus 1 WFH day per week

Salary: £30,500/pa after completion of probation.

At Bio Collectors, we collect food waste from businesses across London and within the M25, transforming it into renewable energy. Every collection helps reduce waste, generate green energy and create a more sustainable future – something we're proud to be part of.

We're a growing business with a friendly team that works closely together. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving problems, and genuinely cares about delivering great customer service.

What You’ll Do

This is a busy role where you'll be the main point of contact for our customers, helping with everything from day-to-day enquiries to service changes and resolving any issues that come up.

You'll work closely with our Transport, Plant and Finance teams to make sure our customers receive the best possible service. If you enjoy building relationships, staying organised and finding solutions, you'll fit right in.

Customer Relationship Management (75%)

Speaking to customers by phone and email, providing a friendly and professional service.
Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues as quickly as possible.
Keeping customers updated and following up on any outstanding queries.
Working with our Transport, Plant and Finance teams to coordinate collections and service requests.
Updating customer information accurately in HubSpot and PurGo.
Producing regular reports and helping identify areas where we can improve our service.
Building good relationships with our customers and helping us deliver the high standard of service we're known for.

Back-Office & Cross-Functional Support (25%)

Liaise with Transport, Plant, and Finance teams to coordinate collections, deliveries, and contractor movements
Enter and manage data in HubSpot CRM, PurGo (VWS), and our weighbridge system (WinWeigh)
Compile weekly/monthly performance and customer reports

What Success Looks Like

KPI Achievement: Meet target response times and help drive customer retention
Accuracy & Insight: Maintain up-to-date CRM records and highlight key trends in your reports
Collaboration: Smooth handovers to Transport, Plant, and Finance, ensuring end-to-end service excellence

What We’re Looking For

We're much more interested in finding the right person than someone who ticks every box.

You'll probably enjoy this role if you:

Enjoy talking to people and providing excellent customer service.
Stay calm when things get busy and like finding solutions.
Are organised and can manage several tasks at once.
Have a good eye for detail.
Are confident using Microsoft Office and happy learning new systems.
Work well as part of a team and are always willing to help.

Previous customer service or office experience would be an advantage, but if you have the right attitude and are keen to learn, we'll provide the training you need.

What you'll get in return

Salary of up to £30,500 after successful completion of probation.
One day working from home after probation.
20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after one year's service

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

Location: Office-based in Mitcham, CR4 4NF.
