Full job description

Arborite Tree Services are looking for a skilled Arborist Climber to join the team. Working across a range of sites, you’ll be involved in delivering high-quality tree work safely and efficiently, alongside a professional and experienced crew.

Key Responsibilities

Operate chainsaws and associated equipment both on the ground and from rope & harness.
Carry out tree climbing and aerial operations safely and efficiently.
Support ground staff and work collaboratively to complete jobs effectively.
Promoting and participating in our Health and Safety Procedures.
Promoting and participating in our Quality Assurance System.
Undertaking other duties as necessary to supplement or balance the services provided.
Inspect and maintain equipment, PPE, and tools.
Represent Arborite professionally on-site.

Requirements

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
Confident working at height using rope & harness.
Physical fitness to handle manual labour including lifting, climbing, and operating equipment over extended periods.
Proven felling experience.
City&Guilds NPTC – Felling and processing trees up to 380mm(CS31)
City&Guilds NPTC – Tree climbing and Arial Rescue.(CS38)
City&Guilds NPTC– Areial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free fall techniques.(CS39)
City&Guilds NPTC– Chainsaw maintenance & Cross cutting (CS30)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Desirable (not essential)

CSCS Card.
Forestry First Aid at Work certification.
Manual Handling training/certification.
Additional NPTC units (e.g. rigging, MEWP).
City&Guilds NPTC – Safe use of manually fed wood-chipper(CS100)
