Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our coffee shop. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills and gain experience in food service within a welcoming environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, seating area, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using till systems.
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the shift.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is preferred.
Experience in serving customers in a busy environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills within the hospitality sector while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.

Pay: £12.21-£14.33 per hour
