Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, constructing, and installing custom cabinetry and furniture pieces. This role requires a strong foundation in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet client specifications. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialised craft skills within a professional environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Fabricate bespoke cabinetry and furniture components according to detailed drawings and specifications
Assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure precise fit and finish
Operate a variety of woodworking machinery safely and effectively, including saws, drills, and sanders
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials with attention to detail
Install finished products on-site, ensuring proper fitting and alignment
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to uphold safety standards
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure designs meet expectations
Assist with other construction-related tasks such as roofing, plumbing, or masonry as required

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry
Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, planes, hammers, and screwdrivers
Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and routers
Strong knowledge of joinery techniques for durable construction
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of materials
Experience with construction painting or finishing is advantageous
Additional skills in roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work are considered a plus but are not essential
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on precision and quality workmanship
