Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation, cooking, and customer service settings. Prior experience in restaurants, hotels, or culinary environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Must be trustworthy and reliable.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support kitchen operations
Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards
Support the team by restocking supplies and organising storage areas
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold hygiene standards
Help with glass collection when needed
Follow all safety procedures and hygiene regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or culinary environments is desirable but not mandatory
Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required
A positive attitude towards learning and teamwork/
Willingness to adhere to health & safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
