Due to continued growth and expansion, Grainger Motor Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Group Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Team based in Bury St Edmunds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop a long-term career within a successful and rapidly growing automotive retail group.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Preparing and posting daily cash sheets
Processing purchase invoices and self-billing invoices (SBIs)
Raising ad hoc sales invoices
Maintaining vehicle debtor ledgers
Reconciling manufacturer bonus accounts
Completing supplier statement reconciliations
Posting bank receipts and payments
Performing balance sheet reconciliations
Setting up and processing bank payments
Confirming customer receipts
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Responding to internal and external accounts queries
Providing cover and support for other members of the accounts team
Filing and maintaining accurate records
General office administration duties
Undertaking additional ad hoc tasks as required

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Be organised with strong administrative skills
Possess good communication and interpersonal abilities
Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Have a positive, proactive approach to work
Be confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (preferred but not essential)
