Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to respond swiftly to various situations. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment while providing a welcoming yet controlled atmosphere for all attendees. Candidates must hold valid SIA licensing and be committed to upholding high standards of security and customer service.

Duties

Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorised access
Conduct thorough ID checks and manage guest list procedures
Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential disturbances
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour
Respond promptly to incidents, including conflicts or emergencies
Carry out routine patrols of the venue or site to ensure safety protocols are followed
Assist with first aid in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives
Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly when required
Enforce venue policies and procedures consistently and professionally

Skills

Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (required)
Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict resolution skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
Good observational skills with attention to detail
Basic first aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Organised, reliable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events
