Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently. Experience in hospitality is preferred, but a positive attitude and strong organisational skills are essential.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
Handle guest requests, enquiries, and complaints with courtesy and promptness
Maintain reservation records and update guest information using hotel management systems
Answer phone calls following proper etiquette, providing information about hotel services and local attractions
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
Process payments securely and issue receipts or invoices as required
Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local area attractions to enhance guest experience
Maintain the reception area in a tidy and organised manner at all times

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette with clear, professional communication skills
Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is advantageous but not mandatory for motivated candidates
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in handling reservations and guest information
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine commitment to hospitality excellence
Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest issues diplomatically
Good computer literacy, including familiarity with hotel management software is preferred
