Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team during Friday and Saturday service. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient service of food to our guests, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, food service, and culinary arts to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is advantageous, along with strong communication and guest service skills. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Duties

Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner
Assist with food preparation and plating as required, supporting the kitchen team
Ensure all dishes are presented according to quality standards before delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders
Uphold food safety standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of dishes
Support with basic meal preparation tasks when necessary
Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries
Ensure proper phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest questions
Assist with setting up tables and clearing after service as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles such as barista, culinary assistant, or hotel staff is preferred but not essential
Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and reliability are essential for this role
