Full job description

Job Overview

Amateur (new) and expert coaches can apply as long as you have passion for martial arts and can inspire young children as a Martial Arts Instructor with Sporty Bees! In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging training sessions at a primary school in Milton Keynes, teach fundamental techniques, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth, discipline, and confidence. Your energetic approach will motivate students of all ages and skill levels to reach their full potential while promoting safety and respect. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise, develop leadership skills, and make a lasting impact in our vibrant community.

Duties

Lead structured martial arts classes, demonstrating techniques and guiding students through drills and exercises
Develop personalized training plans to help students achieve their skill and belt progression goals
Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating environment that encourages discipline and teamwork
Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their form, technique, and confidence
Organize and supervise belt tests, competitions, and special events to showcase student progress
Maintain equipment, training space cleanliness, and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Support students’ personal development by promoting core values such as respect, perseverance, and integrity

Requirements

Proven sports coaching experience or background in martial arts training
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate diverse learners
Knowledge of various martial arts disciplines (e.g., Karate, Taekwondo, Jiu-Jitsu) is preferred
Ability to demonstrate techniques accurately while maintaining a lively and engaging teaching style
Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds
Certification or licensing in relevant martial arts disciplines is a plus but not mandatory
Enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment that promotes discipline, confidence, and fun

Pay: £18.00-£40.00 per hour
