Full job description

Chopra & Associates is looking for dental receptionist. No previous experience necessary, full training and support provided.
Reception responsibilities include:-
· Answer the telephone in the prescribed manner

· Welcome all patients arriving at the practice

· Ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate

· Collect and record patient payments
Administration and finance
· Ensure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and storing them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner

· Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts according to the practice policy

· Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required

· Send out patient recalls

· Compile day sheets

· Keep the office, reception area and waiting room clean and tidy

· Deputise for the practice manager

· Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

· Work at other practice locations from time to time as required

Desired qualifications-

GCSE A*-C (9-4) or equivalent in maths and English are accepted, GCSE grade D or 3 will be considered or equivalent

Future prospects-

With experience you may be able to move into jobs like Team Manager, Team Leader or Dental Practice Manager.

With further training, you could become a Dental nurse, Dental Therapist, helping a dentist carry out the more routine dentistry work. You could also become a Dental Hygienist, helping people to look after their teeth and gums.
