Overview

40 hours per week, over 4 days (Must include Mondays and Fridays, to include 8am start and some 7pm finish)

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming practice. This is a very busy environment where multitasking is de rigueur. The main concurrent activities are phone calls, credit card payments and practice management entries.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area.

Responsibilities

Greeting clients and their pets in a professional manner
Answering incoming calls and responding to customer enquiries which often are financial in nature.
Dealing with client queries both face-to-face and over the telephone and resolving conflict – which is sometimes regarding finance.
Booking appointments and managing the practice diary
Taking payments and processing transactions accurately
Maintaining client records and updating information on the practice management system
Managing emails and general administrative duties
Supporting the veterinary team with reception and administrative tasks
Ensuring the reception area is clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
Providing estimates for procedures

Candidate

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Confident and professional telephone manner and ability to resolve conflict
Strong multitasking abilities
Ability to remain calm and professional in an extremely busy environment
Good IT and computer skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Previous Veterinary reception experience is essential
