The company sells a range of ‘classic’ designs and is also commissioned to create bespoke works for private and corporate clients. Every piece is made to commission in our workshop in Oxfordshire.

To support this, we are looking for a driven and dynamic CAD Technician join our sales team.
The CAD Technician is responsible for creating engineered drawings for all standard, customised and bespoke pieces designed by the David Harber design team. This position plays a pivotal role in the production of all of our beautiful pieces and is a key player in our manufacturing process.
Collaborating with both the sales teams and the operations and production team, this position is a fundamental part of the David Harber team.
· Using Solidworks to create 3D CAD models and engineering/manufacturing drawings to the appropriate level of detailing for client approval and ensuring drawings are accurate for manufacture.
· Development of designs through problem solving and awareness of production capabilities, ensuring all solutions are considered against the high aesthetic and design values that David Harber products are known for.
· Ensuring all David Harber designs have complete technical drawing packages, including GAs, installation guides and BOMs
· Checking approved prototypes against technical manufacturing drawings
· Ability to create, manage and update technical documents to a high standard
· To work closely and effectively with the wider design team of engineers and concept designers, taking drawings from concept through to construction, ensuring they are consistent, accurate, current, effectively communicated and meet the demands of the budget.
· Collaborate with wider teams across the business to include sales, operations and production.
· Delivery of engineered drawing to a high standard inline with expected time frames
· Smooth communication and liaison between all departments to ensure positive outcome for every project
· Working in an efficient and accountable way to avoid the slowing down of projects
· Liaising with wider teams to ensure potential engineering risks are mitigated
· Adhering to all company health and safety procedures
· Upholding the company values and behaviours
· Must be proficient in SolidWorks
· Educated to degree level or equivalent in Product Design Engineering or similar field
· Must have a minimum of 3 years professional experience using Solidworks
· Previous engineering analysis (FEA) and project management experience an advantage
· Excellent communication skills and proven experience of liaising with wider teams
· Ability to manage budgets and tight deadlines
· Positive, creative, and practical approach to problem solving
· Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once with the ability prioritise
· Team player who works effectively with colleagues across all functions

Midweight CAD Technician = 3-5 years industry experience
Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
