Customer Support Technician (Industrial Products)

An exciting opportunity to join our team, supporting customers with the selection, supply and ongoing use of industrial pumps, fluid handling equipment and associated products. The role combines customer service, product guidance, sales support and troubleshooting, while also providing detailed product support to Account Managers and the internal sales and customer service teams. You will help customers and colleagues find practical solutions across our product range and portfolio. Full product training will be provided.

Please note: this role relates to industrial equipment and mechanical products and is not an IT or software support position.

About Us

Centre Tank Services is an established market-leading B2B supplier of fluid handling equipment. We are looking for a Customer Support Technician to support customers with product enquiries, quotations, product selection, sales processing and aftersales assistance across our range of industrial products.

This is an office-based role located in the B76 area.

Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
Provide product guidance and assist customers in selecting suitable equipment for their application.
Prepare quotations and support the sales process.
Process customer orders and maintain accurate records.
Provide installation, operation and maintenance guidance.
Respond to customer queries and assist with troubleshooting equipment-related issues.
Coordinate engineer visits and service activities where required.
Handle warranty, repair and returns enquiries.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve customer enquiries.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

Skills & Experience

Practical, analytical and engineering-minded approach to problem solving.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Interest in industrial equipment, mechanical products, or engineering-related industries.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desire to learn and develop product knowledge.
Inquisitive approach to understanding customer requirements and identifying solutions.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Competent user of standard business software packages.
Full UK driving licence.

Experience within industrial distribution, engineering supplies, manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, merchanting, trade counter, internal sales, or customer service environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
