Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and organised Book Keeper to join our team within the Construction Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organisation, utilising leading accounting software tools. The ideal applicant will possess strong attention to detail, proficiency in relevant software, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
Utilise accounting software such as Excel & Access accounting software to input and manage financial data efficiently.
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations.
Support audit preparations by organising necessary documentation and records.
Liaise with external accountants or auditors during financial reviews.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
Proficiency in accounting software including such as Sage etc.
Knowledge of Access Accounting software would be an advantage but not essential as some training will be given.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude. This position is an excellent fit for individuals who have a broad experience background who can use their own initiative within a small friendly team.

Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
