Cheadle Skip Hire Limited provide a faultlessly reliable skip hire and waste management service and rely on a team of motivated, reliable and hardworking individuals to keep up our reputation to our customers.

Job Summary:

Plant Operator.

Core duties:

- Operating wheeled loaders, 360 excavators with selector grab, material handlers, mobile shredders and trommels.

- Loading tippers and walking floor trailers (with tip-toe bucket).

- Sorting waste with selector grab, processing waste through slow speed shredder and trommel.

- Follow all company policy, procedure and health & safety requirements closely.

- Communicate with other members of staff and drivers.

- Assist with other duties as needed.

Hours: (can be tailored to suit, but typically)

Mon - Fri: 07:30 - 17:00
Alternate Saturdays (one on, one off): 08:00 - 12:00

Requirements:

- Previous plant operating experience of at least 2 years is essential.

- Ability to work well in a high pressure and busy environment.

- Ability to gain valuable knowledge about our operation, to help you complete your duties effectively.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers and team members.

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

- Experience within the waste industry is advantageous, but not essential as specific training will be given.
