Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent hospitality skills, and previous experience working in a busy bar.

The pub has recently re opened under new landlords and wants someone positive and enthusiastic to join and be able to jump right in

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Assist in setting up and clearing down the bar area before and after service
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including responsible alcohol service
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Experience

Previous experience in working behind a bar required.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Proven ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining high standards of service
Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
A responsible attitude towards alcohol service and customer wellbeing
