Full job description

Overview

Quickskip Hereford Ltd is a family business operating a mixed fleet of waste commercial vehicles and heavy plant machinery. They are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their workshop team, primarily carrying out maintenance and repairs on HGVs whilst also supporting the maintenance of plant equipment when required.

Role overview

Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on HGVs
Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Support the maintenance and repair of plant machinery where required
Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive repairs
Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance
Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
Work effectively as part of a small engineering team

Salary and Benefits

£30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 17.30
Every other Saturday: 07:00 - 12.30
