Overview
We are seeking a highly organised Farm Secretary to support the administrative functions of our farm operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records, bookkeeping, invoicing, financial reporting and keeping the office running smoothly.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and experience with accounting software who would enjoy a part time role with flexible hours working in a friendly family business.

Responsibilities

Managing financial records using Quickbooks accounting software
Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly
Submitting monthly VAT returns.
Maintaining organised documentation of farm expenses, invoices, and receipts
Assisting with monthly payroll administration
Managing invoicing queries with suppliers and clients.
Assisting with the preparation of financial reports.
Supporting general administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
You will need:
Proven experience in administrative roles within agricultural or similar settings.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Strong organisational skills
Knowledge of the VAT system including when to apply the standard, reduced or zero rates and how to handle partial exemption.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work undertaken

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
