Class 1 (C+E) HGV Tramper Driver

Depot: Cardiff
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (Tramping Required)
Pay: From £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

Mayglothling Waste Ltd is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver to join our growing transport team.

This is a Monday to Friday tramping role, operating modern articulated vehicles across the UK. You will be responsible for delivering a professional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles throughout the UK.
Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting.
Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely.
Complete delivery paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
Comply with all Driver CPC, Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
Provide excellent customer service when collecting from and delivering to customer sites.
Maintain a clean and professional vehicle at all times.
Work closely with the transport office to ensure efficient planning and communication.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
Maximum of 3 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN convictions).
Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Regulations.
Previous Class 1 driving experience.
Professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
Reliable, flexible and safety conscious.

Desirable

Experience operating walking floor, tanker or tipper trailers.
Previous tramping experience.
