Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Sewing Machinists to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in sewing, seeking to develop their skills within a supportive organisation.

Duties

Operate various types of sewing machines to assemble and finish textile products according to specifications.
Ensure all stitching meets quality standards, inspecting finished work for defects or inconsistencies.
Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading fabrics and finished goods within the warehouse.
Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and product quality.

Experience

Previous experience in sewing or garment manufacturing is highly desirable.
Proficiency in operating sewing machines, with an understanding of different stitching techniques preferred.
Attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure are essential.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety protocols is required. This role provides a rewarding environment for those passionate about textiles and manufacturing.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
