Ready to put your skills to work and make sure the Home stays in top shape? We need someone who’s proactive, hands-on and loves tackling challenges.

£28,700 per annum
39 hours per week

Location: Connaught Court, St Oswalds Road, Fulford, York, YO10 4FA

As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be a key player in keeping the Home safe and fully functional. With your practical expertise, you’ll take pride in tackling repairs, whether it’s fixing plumbing, ensuring fire doors and lighting are working, or handling other maintenance tasks. You’ll respond swiftly to challenges, working closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure safety and comfort. If you’re resourceful, adaptable, and thrive on solving problems with a hands-on approach, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role

As a Maintenance/Facilities Assistant, you’ll be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to repair requests and ensuring the Home remains safe and functional. This includes checking water temperatures, testing electrical equipment and handling plumbing repairs. You’ll also help ensure fire safety and complete minor carpentry work, working alongside the Maintenance/Facilities Manager to keep the Home running smoothly.
