Salary: £16.41 per hour
Schedule: 6 months Fixed Term Contract, 37.5hours per week 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

As a Carpenter in our Health team at Great Western Hospital, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining the building fabric that keeps essential healthcare environments running safely and smoothly. Your work will help make sure colleagues, patients, and visitors experience safe, well-maintained spaces every day.
You’ll be contributing to work that directly supports patient care and the wider community. By helping maintain critical hospital facilities, you’ll play a part in creating a future where essential services can operate with resilience, safety, and pride.
What you’ll do as a Carpenter
You’ll be entrusted to:
Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning and maintenance to a wide range of services, plant and equipment throughout the hospital

Vetting and checks:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
