Full job description

Emerton Roofing (Western) Limited is a 100 year old award winning family roofing business based in Nantwich, Cheshire. We are currently looking to welcome a specialist slater and tiler into our long established workforce. Pay depending on experience and capability.

The role will include a 40 hour working week, Monday - Friday on a 'PAYE' on the books basis, with Saturday overtime available at company discretion. 29 paid holiday days including bank holidays.

For this role, we are looking to employ an experienced craftsman who shares our passion for producing first class slating, tiling and leadwork. Our works predominantly consists of working on renovations of residential buildings. As a company who is renowned nationwide for its excellence when working on heritage buildings, it is important the candidate excels when working with random and sized welsh slate, handmade tiles as well as more conventional pitched roofing materials. Not all roofs will be on heritage buildings - properties/jobs will range from estate maintenance to individual one off domestic customers. We do not carry out new site work. Ability to carry out woodwork/brickwork an advantage.

The successful candidate will start and end their working day at our Nantwich base from where they will be provided with a project, works van (not to take home) and an assistant. It is preferable but not essential for the candidate to hold a British driving licence. The candidate must be willing to start and end the working day from our Nantwich depot.
