About the role

Becoming a Warehouse Operative opens up incredible career possibilities - it's how many of our managers started out. To succeed as a Warehouse Operative you'll be someone who can put people at the heart of everything you do, building relationships with your team and acting quickly to help our customers. This is a hands-on job for people who enjoy tackling big challenges as part of a team, who like to stay active and who love to see their work make a visible difference.

You don't need any previous experience in working in a warehouse. We'll make sure you're fully trained.

A day in the life at our Packaged Distribution Centre;

You will be responsible for

Having a key role in supporting our store colleagues by making sure orders are assembled accurately
Picking and manually handling stock
Maintaining a clear and tidy warehouse and ensure any potential hazards are taken care of safely, quickly and efficiently.
Making sure stock is received, stored, packed and transported according to the highest standards
Taking ownership for your own and others safety whilst at work
Using tools provided and training material provided efficiently
Using your Mechanical Handling Equipment efficiently
Working both independently and as part of a team

You will need

A driven and keen attitude to learn new skills as well as thriving whilst working in an encouraging team.

We’re recruiting for our new, exciting distribution centre in Hinckley!

This is your chance to be part of something big from day one. If you’re looking for a role with real opportunities to grow, our Warehouse Operative position is the perfect fit.

You’ll initially be working at our current site, before moving over later in the year to our brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution setup.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of our operations right from the start and be part of an exciting transition.

We are currently recruiting for immediate starts, with offers subject to any applicable notice periods.

We have a range of full-time, permanent Warehouse Operative positions available, offering various shift patterns and availability options. These will be discussed in more detail during the interview process to ensure the best fit for all.

Rotation Shift: one week 06:00am - 14:00pm, second week 14:00pm - 22:00pm any 5 days from 7 (37.5hrs per week including some weekend work)

There is also the potential to work 10-hour shifts across 4 set days, depending on business needs.

Please note: We are unable to offer fixed AM shifts. Candidates must be flexible and available to work across a variety of days, including weekends.

Performance Bonus:

88%+ performance: +£0.30 per hour
92%+ performance: +£0.60 per hour
99%+ performance: +£1.00 per hour

Pay:

Day rate: £14.55 per hour
Additional overtime, weekend, and premium payments are available on top.

Experience:

Previous warehouse experience and MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) use are preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Plus there are additional overtime and premiums payments available on top.
