About the Role
As a Youth Workshop Coordinator, you will design and structure engaging workshop sessions that bring people together, build confidence, and promote inclusion. You will be responsible for planning the full flow of sessions—from icebreakers to core activities and reflective wrap-ups—ensuring that each session is purposeful, enjoyable, and aligned with programme goals.
You will work collaboratively with Project Workers to ensure that your session plans are delivered effectively and create a positive, inclusive experience for all participants.
Key Activities
- Design engaging weekly workshop themes and interactive activities
- Plan structured session flows, including icebreakers, main activities, and wrap-ups
- Develop creative and inclusive approaches to engage diverse groups
- Ensure sessions align with programme goals, outcomes, and impact measures
- Collaborate with Project Workers to support delivery of sessions
- Review and refine activities based on feedback and participant engagement
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop detailed workshop plans that are interactive, inclusive, and easy to deliver
- Create session roadmaps outlining objectives, activities, timing, and expected outcomes
- Design materials or guidance to support activities and participant engagement
- Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and suitable for diverse audiences
- Provide clear instructions and support to Project Workers delivering sessions
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and suggest improvements
- Maintain consistency and quality across all programme sessions
- Support the development of new ideas and initiatives to enhance community engagement
- Contribute to projects that increase participation and strengthen community impact
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in youth work, workshop facilitation, activity planning, or programme design
- Ability to design engaging, interactive sessions for group settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain ideas clearly
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing inclusive and engaging experiences
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
- A genuine commitment to inclusion, diversity, and community engagement
Desirable
- Experience working with diverse or underrepresented communities
- Background in education, youth development, or community programmes
- Experience designing structured session plans or workshop materials
- Understanding of measuring session impact or outcomes
- Experience supporting or guiding facilitators or delivery staff
