Role Overview:

We have opportunities for confident HGV Drivers to join our growing team to support our on site services based in Port Talbot. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am – 4pm and paid 40 hours per week.

In this role you will be required to operate 80t tractor unit and trailers. The role will require you to follow key scheduled delivery routes and drop off points agreed through a combined Runtech and TATA planning process. You will be required to operate an agreed delivery tracking system which tracks all on site pick ups and drop off through a web based system and digitalised POD.

Scope of Responsibility

Port Talbot stores distribution from various inbound staging area to site delivery locations.
Port Talbot site deliveries from site located stores areas to construction and assembly areas.
Port Talbot harbour loading area to designated project delivery locations.
Other operations within the Runtech footprint at Port Talbot that require essential driving license.

Reports To: Invictus Project lead

Location: Port Talbot – (Site Based at TATA Steel only)

Key Essentials

Class 1 HGV driver’s license (Category C) or Site Equivalent
CCNSG (Passport to Safety) Qualification (Desirable but not essential)
Able to work independently
Must be able to work safely, and follow safety procedures and documentation
Must be enthusiastic and committed with a flexible approach
Must be flexible to support other areas
Good organisational skills
Able to complete daily drivers’ defects reports
Ability to take initiative on tasks with good attention to detail

Schedule:

8 hour shifts
Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs
Overtime as and when required to meet customer demands
The successful candidate will be subject to our induction process that will include drug & alcohol testing
Expected start date: Immediate
