Full job description

The post

We have an exciting part time opening for an additional team member within our Reception team.

Client care is taken very seriously at Leathes Prior, and the Reception team are at the core of the firm’s overall client experience; ensuring an exceptional frontline service to clients and visitors.

The team

The team are based in the main reception area of our main office at 74 The Close facing the picturesque Norwich Cathedral.

There are four full time equivalent posts across the week shared amongst seven team members. All of the existing team are very knowledgeable and hold many years of experience between them. A very close knit and supportive group, this team would be happy to train a new team member with transferable skills in similar roles.

The role

Main duties of the role will include:

Welcoming clients in a professional and courteous manner on arrival and offering refreshments;
Greeting clients by phone and dealing with their requests as appropriate;
Responding to email requests from clients and staff in a timely matter;
Ensuring the reception area is professional and presentable;
Provide assistance with the booking and arrangement of meeting rooms;
Assist with client ID checks and distribution of client paperwork;
Supporting other teams in the firm with administrative tasks when necessary.

The ideal candidate must be confident in dealing with a variety of clients and be ready to adapt their approach accordingly, remaining sympathetic to each individual’s needs.

Key qualities of the ideal candidates will include:

High standards of customer service and the potential to build and maintain strong working relationships, both with clients and team members;
Able to work in a methodical and organised manner with good attention to detail;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload.

Our reception opening hours are 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and the team cover this in early/late shifts. We are currently considering applications for a team member to cover 1 day per week (Wednesday, 9.00am - 5.30pm). Please note that a degree of flexibility is required within this team in order to provide cover on other days during holidays and other absences.
